According to a number of reports in the US, it appears that troubled movie star Lindsay Lohan allegedly owes $600,000 (around £390,000) on a number of different credit cards.
The news comes as the latest in a series of financial woes for the troubled star, who earlier this month was reported to be two months behind on her rent.
The news follows reports that the Lindsey Lohan is also reportedly two months behind on her rent. Her last film, Labour Pains, went straight to DVD and now the star having difficulty in finding over possible sources of income.
"Lindsay owes credit cards $600,000," an insider told RadarOnline. "One card cut her off last week and it's only a matter of time before all her other credit cards cut her off too.
One credit card company is ready to sue the star in order that they get their money back.
"One credit card company is going to discuss a payment plan for Lindsay. But if she doesn't have the income and can't make her payments, they are prepared to sue her."
Lohan is now even finding it difficult to make money from her celebrity night club appearances. The star now commands around $5000 to $10,000 per appearance, although those appearances are now few and far between.
The news goes to show how quickly one can become embroiled in credit card debt. Without carefully considering your credit card options it is easy to land yourself in more and more debt. If the latest rumours are true, then even celebrities are having difficulty in keeping their credit card debt at bay.
